We had the honour of helping this fun-loving couple plan their July 17th, 2010 wedding which took place in the Burlington-Hamilton, Ontario area.
Although the threat of rain loomed above us on the morning of the wedding day, the bride-to-be was happy and giddy (as all brides should be) as she got ready for her big walk down the aisle at St. Stanislaus Church in Hamilton, Ontario.
After the ceremony was over the bride and groom braved the rain to take pictures at the Royal Botanical Gardens in Burlington. Luckily their photographers, Daniela and Melanie of Pink Pearl Images knew of the perfect indoor spot for their photo shoot.
Getting the Room Ready for the Reception
The rain stopped in time for the guests’ arrival at the reception, which was held at the Polish National Union in Burlington. Each guest was heartily greeted with the sounds of the Polish band, the friendly faces of the wedding party and of course, a traditional Vodka shooter, served from the customized Ice Vodka Luge, provided by IceFX. The wedding favours, mini bottles of wine from Cornerstone Estate Winery, served as the seating chart which everyone agreed was a great idea.
Receiving Table Setup
The main hall had been elegantly decorated by With all My Heart Wedding Décor in pallets of cream, brown, and green. All décor elements, from the napkins to the table numbers, from the linens to the centerpieces, were well coordinated to reflect the couples’ style.
After dinner was over and the four-tiered wedding cake, provided by Maggies Sweets, was served for dessert, the dancing began. This is when the party really got started. Watching Monika and John’s friends and family come together to celebrate this couple and their new lives got us all chocked up and reminds us why we love planning weddings!
Watch for more photos to come from Pink Pearl Images next month.
