Venue Spotlight: Graydon Hall Manor

Graydon Hall Manor - the name itself evokes images of elegance and grandeur. Originally built in 1936, this Georgian manor is located minutes from the bustle of Toronto, making it a perfect venue for those looking for a serene retreat from the city. After undergoing extensive renovations in 1999, the manor has earned a first-class reputation, ranking in the top 10 of Canadian Event Perspective’s Top 100 Venues in Canada, several times since opening its doors to the public in June 2000.

Once you enter the walled court yard of Graydon Hall, an impressive porte-cochere welcomes guests into an atmosphere filled with romance and luxury. From the elegantly designed rooms, featuring large bay windows, fireplaces, and plush furnishings, to the grand staircase, the manor is yours for the day, ensuring you receive the individual attention that you and your fiancée deserve!

The surrounding grounds are reminiscent of the English countryside. Graydon Hall boasts an impressive 160 foot-long balustrade stone terrace that wraps the length of the west side of the mansion, overlooking the formal gardens and cascading 3 tiered fountains; a breathtaking location for your ceremony and/or wedding pictures!

Classically trained in Italy, Chef Arpi Magyar oversees Graydon Hall Manor’s kitchen. Your request is their command – breakfast, lunches, brunches, cocktail parties, BBQs, food pavilions, and formal multi-course dining including white gloved service.

This is one of our favourite event venues – it’s definitely worth a look!

Venue Spotlight: The Doctor’s House

Located in the quaint Village of Kleinburg, minutes from Canada’s Wonderland, you will discover the old age charm of The Doctor’s House. Named for its history, the house was originally built in 1867 and was home to a succession of doctors. Major renovations were completed in 1993, restoring the house to reflect its original architectural design.

Offering a traditional dining room, six beautifully decorated banquet rooms, and a non-denominational Chapel nestled amongst beautiful gardens, The Doctor’s House is the perfect place to hold both your ceremony and reception. The Chapel is a re-creation of a traditional 19th Century Canadian Chapel, completely candlelit by chandeliers.

Each room offers the bride and groom something different: wood-burning fireplaces, open wood-beamed ceilings, hardwood flooring, and coach lanterns can be found throughout the venue. Every unique room allows the bride and groom to host a personalized event. From an intimate gathering of 60 in The Country Fare Room to a larger elaborate celebration for 140 in The Heritage Room, the ambiance of The Doctor’s House is the perfect setting in which to celebrate!

Last, but certainly not least, the setting might be reminiscent of early Canadian history, but the food definitely isn’t. The Doctor’s House in-house restaurant prepares all menu options on-site, from a casual lunch buffet to a more formal five-course seated dinner; they offer a wide selection of menu choices. An added bonus: their menu packages are inclusive of tableware and linens including napkins and tablecloths.

If you are looking for a romantic, unique and historic setting to get married in, look no further than The Doctor’s House. It was love at first sight for our very own Event Planner, Cristina, and both her and her husband enjoyed every second of their wedding day at this beautiful location!
