Falling in Love with 2015 Bridal Fashion

My brother and soon-to-be sister-in-law are thinking of tying the knot in 2015. Lucky girl - have you seen the amazing wedding dresses she'll be able to choose from? So I've taken it upon myself to do a little bit of window shopping before she starts dress shopping - to help her out of course. I just can't help myself...bridal fashion puts a spring in my step and a sparkle in my eye.

One thing I have noticed while soaking in the latest bridal fashion trends, is that brides have so many different options to choose from. Whether they have their heart set on intricate beading and custom embroidery on a ball gown or stunning lace detailing on a flowing bohemian gown - there is something for everyone. Here are some of my favourites. (drum roll please)

Welcome Back!

A belated Happy New Year! 2013 promises to be another exciting year, and I'm looking forward to celebrating love and happiness with all my engaged clients.

Although last week we seemed to have experienced the "winter thaw" that sometimes happens in January, I know this good weather isn't here to stay. With that in mind, I have been busy gathering warm and cozy winter wedding ideas for those of you celebrating your "I Do's" in the coming months.

Courtesy of Martha Stewart Weddings, these hand-knit wedding ring pillows are absolutely adorable and sure to add an element of coziness to any celebration. I love how they are an easy DIY project, and can be created in any colour to match your theme.

For those of you like me, who have never picked up a pair of knitting needles in your life, I also found several more on Pinterest, some of which are available for sale.

Inspiration: Anne of Green Gables

With this post my secret is definitely out of the bag...I'm obsessed with Anne of Green Gables! I have all the books, movies (on VHS and DVD), and two Anne dolls which were proudly on display in my room as a little girl. So when I came across this wedding shoot inspired by the fiery Anne Shirley, I knew it needed to be blogged about right away! For more photographs and information about the shoot, please visit anneofgreengables.com.

For those fellow Anne fans out there, you will notice the reinterpretations of several plot lines including: the Lady of Shalott and raspberry cordial. I just love all the vintage details and outdoor backdrop. They did an amazing job bringing Anne and Gilbert's romance to life. I hope this has provided some inspiration to you all.

Real Wedding: Muskoka Dreams

Our first real wedding feature is courtesy of Cynthia Martyn Events. Simply put, this wedding takes my breath away - the location, colour palette, floral design, and decor work effortlessly together to make this bride's dream wedding come true.

The wedding was held at The Lake Joseph Club in the Muskoka region, just north of Toronto. For the ceremony, large floral balls were anchored off the dock in lieu of traditional aisle decor.

The floral arrangements, including the bouquets, were done in shades of mocha, cream, blush, and gold. A perfect representation of the overall colour scheme, including the beautiful bridesmaid dresses in blush.

The centerpieces on both the head table and guests' tables were created in crystal vases atop of mirrors to add dimension to the table landscape.

The wedding cake was simple, yet elegantly designed with sugar flowers and a touch of bling.

A Parisian lounge bordered the dance floor to allow guests to rest and mingle.
